Lots of change in and around Old Town Spring..and some things remain the same.

Anyone who lives on this side of Houston doesn’t need reminding that things are blowing up over here. Construction is insane and it’s definitely posed some challenges for our little town. The exit to Old Town Spring from the north has been closed for months and construction on Spring Cypress going into town has made it very difficult for our customers to get to us.

We really thank all of you for making the effort to visit us throughout this craziness – you’ve been our backbone and the reason we’re still open.

We’ve sadly seen some of our old favorite shops close up and move along which always stinks. An electrical fire has temporarily shut down Wunsche Brothers..what a loss for the town.

But even amid all the turmoil, the future for Old Town Spring really has us excited. We’ve got some new blood out here and we’re rapidly turning into a real foodie destination. With the  and the Italian Joint already pleasing customers, we’re also going to be the new home of the famous Corkscrew BBQ. These guys know how to make some serious ‘cue and we can’t wait for them to be right down the street.

When you look at the long view, things are really bright for our little place…Exxon is going to bring lots of new people to our area and we are really excited about what that means to us here in Old Town Spring.

In the meantime, our little corner has stayed the same. Our buddy Donny Hickmott is still in the Walking Horse Gallery right off our shop and we’re blending spices and creating new flavors back in the kitchen. Thanks again for being our loyal customers – it’s been a wild ride and we really do appreciate you!
